“I Love Indonesia”

Kenapa sih orang-orang yang cinta sama Indonesia memiliki kesulitan untuk menggunakan bahasanya sendiri?

Daripada menggunakan kalimat:

1. I Love Indonesia

2. Imagine Indonesia (Sebuah Program yang mengajak orang-orang untuk berpikir positif tentang Indonesia)

3. Dan kalimat sejenis lainnya,

Kita bisa saja menggunakan kalimat ini:

1. Kami Cinta Indonesia

2. Indonesia Nanti

atau bisa dimodifikasi jadi:

1. Indonesia, Jantungku!

atau kata-kata lainnya.

Terdengar norak?

Atau jangan-jangan kepribadian kita yang mulai malu dengan bahasa Indonesia?

Merdeka!

Karena sudah begitu banyak berita duka cita terdengar beberapa waktu belakangan,

karena sudah banyak lagu-lagu kemerdekaan yang terlupakan..

Mari kita belajar merdeka dengan yang sebenar-benarnya..

hari ini, esok, lusa, dan seterusnya..

Tidak perlu menunggu sampai tanggal sakral 17 untuk belajar mengenali kemerdekaan diri, bukan?

Sudah kenal?

Lucu ya…
Ketika seseorang mengenal seseorang lainnya, tiba-tiba muncul rasa..
entah peduli atau cuek atau senang atau sebal..
dan tiba-tiba di dunia orang itu, muncul lagi satu kehadiran dan ide dan pandangan tertentu tentang hidup ini.
Dan semua hanya karena kenal.

Orang-orang tertentu malah mampu memberi dampak yang luar biasa pada sahabat-sahabatnya.

Tapi entah mengapa, orang-orang masih malas berkenalan satu sama lain.

Bohong?

Saya sering merasa kecewa jika teman baik saya memilih untuk menyembunyikan hal yang menurutnya penting, daripada memberitahu saya, karena ia mengira saya akan marah!

Saya merasa dibohongi.

Tapi hati kecil saya bilang, “Ah, tapi sebetulnya kan teman saya itu memang tidak berbohong. Dia hanya tak mengatakan yang sebenarnya, tak mengatakan kebohongan, dan malah dia tak mengatakan apa-apa tho?!”

Tapi tetap saja saya merasa dibohongi.

Lalu hati kecil saya jadi nyinyir, “Ah, itu sih karena kamu kesal dia tidak percaya sama kamu tho? Bukan karena dia tidak cerita? Kalau dia tidak cerita karena lupa, kamu juga tidak akan sekesal ini bukan?”

Dan saya jadi manyun. Kenapa sih Tuhan ngasih saya hati nurani yang cerewet kayak begini?

Tapi, sebetulnya, memang betul juga. Alasan saya kecewa karena saya justru tidak akan marah kalau teman saya bilang yang sebenarnya! Tidak usah sembunyi-sembunyi.

Jujur sajalah!
(Ah, tapi dia tidak bohong juga sih?)

Duh,, saya jadi bingung.
Apa sih definisi bohong yang benar?
menceritakan yang tidak benar..
..atau..
tidak menceritakan yang benar maupun yang tidak benar..alias diem-diem aja…

Rahasia-rahasiaan atau bohong-bohongan?
Duh, Bingung!

Asal Semesta

Di awal waktu tercipta, Tuhan datang dan bersabda pada 4 elemen kehidupan,

“Udara”, “Air”, “Api”,dan Tanah”.

Tuhan membuka satu perlombaan tentang kekuatan, dimana dari setiap perlombaan, akan terjawab satu pemenang yang akan memenangkan satu tanggungjawab tertentu atas kehidupan.

Tentu saja Tuhan sudah tahu siapa pemenangnya. Tuhan hanya sekedar memberi kesempatan pada keempat elemen ini untuk saling menerima kenyataan mengapa elemen yang satu memiliki tanggung jawab dengan beban sedemikian dan mengapa elemen yang lain memiliki tugas yang berbeda.

Dan dari semua ajang unjuk diri tersebut, para elemen menerima tugasnya masing-masing.

Udara akan menjadi tempat bergantung semua elemen lain. Ia akan menampung Api, Tanah, dan Air.

Namun atas besarnya tanggungjawab yang ia peroleh, tidak ada satupun makhluk hidup yang dapat tinggal di udara. Makhluk-makhluk hidup hanya akan mampir sejenak sebelum kembali ke elemen yang lain.

Lalu Api akan menjadi sumber kehidupan, ia akan menjadi perekat tanah, dan memberikan kehangatan dan kesempatan bagi tumbuhan untuk merasakan cahaya dan panas yang menghidupkan.

Namun ia juga dapat berubah menjadi dewa kematian. Ia dapat menghunjamkan dua gumpalan tanah besar di angkasa,dan  ia dapat meleburkan semua makhluk hidup.

Atas kemampuannya yang demikian megah, Tuhan lagi-lagi tidak memberikan kesempatan pada api untuk melihat makhluk hidup bertumbuh daripadanya.

Api hanya akan menjadi penopang, dan tidak satupun makhluk hidup dapat hidup di dalam dirinya untuk waktu yang terlampau lama.

Kemudian Tanah akan direkatkan dalam api, dan bergantung di tengah udara.

Dan atas kelemahannya ini, Tuhan menganugerahkan tanah kesempatan untuk menjadi tempat berpijak bagi semua kehidupan.

Lalu Air akan berkubang dalam pelukan tanah. Air akan bergantung pada elemen yang terikat oleh dua elemen lain.

Atas kelemahannya, air akan menjadi rumah bagi makhluk hidup tertentu, dan tak ada satupun makhluk hidup yang mampu bertahan terlampau lama, tanpa sentuhan kehidupan darinya.

…

…

Kemudian Tuhan melepas kesemua elemen tersebut dengan menandatangani mereka dengan Salah Satu NamaNya, Cinta.

Maka sejak hari itu, Api, Udara, Tanah, dan Air bergerak menopang dan mengasuh kehidupan dengan meniupkan cinta ke dalam sela-sela hari para makhluk hidup.

Cyber Crime or Freedom to Speak?

On June 2009, Jakarta, a woman was sent to jail because she was complaining the bad service from one international hospital in Jakarta to her friends. Her mail then forwarded through lots of mailing list by her friends.

The hospital sue her for this “black propaganda” and consider this as a cyber crime.

What a careless move.

Compare to the hoax spread in the internet from one mailing list about the negative effect caused by a famous product from a beverages company, where the hoax convinced people that the beverage product “A” is dangerous and deadly,

this beverage company did not sue the hoax maker (which made it for marketing research propose, but then an unknown culprit steal the idea and using it as a hoax)

while they are ABLE to!
they have the right to..

but, they are also smart enough to not doing so..

and they calmly explain the truth through internet,
use advertorial in national newspaper, and other medias to educate their market that the hoax was a hoax.

And see the result:
The hospital, using their arrogance, sue the “innocence” victim of poor service, and get huge attention from people whom just turn their back to this hospital.

The beverage product, using their communication channel, educate their market, and at the end, the market understand, and do not trouble it anymore.

But maybe,
just maybe,
…
maybe the power of communication,
is just nothing,
with no quality nor good will in it..

I’m lucky I’m in a good company now.

“Kehidupan Nyata”

Kalau sedang berlibur, kalau sedang santai, kadang suka ada teman yang mengingatkan bahwa semua kesantaian ini hanya sementara, dan kita akan kembali ke kehidupan nyata yang notabene adalah dunia kerja, usaha, persaingan, dst,dst.
Tapi sebetulnya kalau dipikir-pikir, bukannya justru dunia kerja itu yang terlalu dibuat2?
kerjaan kita itu kan ada karena orang-orang berpikir untuk “membuat” suatu pekerjaan, dimana kerjaan itu butuh bantuan beberapa orang, yang akhirnya menciptakan lapangan kerja, dan akhirnya menghidupi kita.
Tapi kalau waktu luang, perasaan damai dan tenang, mereka kan selalu ada. Dan waktu luang dan perasaan nyaman itulah yang sebetulnya merupakan dunia nyata.
Hanya saja, beberapa orang memilih untuk menutup mata, dan lebih menghidupkan kenyataan di “kehidupan yang sebenarnya” di dunia kerja.

Lucu ya, manusia itu?

adek yg bisa nyiapin semua film anime dan manga seru..

sahabat yg suka ngajak jalan sampe kantong jebol sebelum waktunya..hihihi..

pacar yg baik hati dan seru diajak ngobrol..

kantor yg punya misi bagus dan temen2gawe yg berdedikasi..

Our Nation’s Identity in the Red and White Flag

“Our founding father had put the first steps to know who is the Indonesian really were, and where they are going to be. But then we never continue what they have started,” a good friend of mine said. Her words struck me out because I know she is somewhat right. Even though there are people who struggle to fight for the sake of this country whether by winning scientific Olympiads, wrote wonderful literatures, conduct international awesome events, working wholeheartedly in public institutions, or just paying taxes sincerely and on time, still many of us are not even bother about this Nations’ future. Do not care about the election, do not watch the succeed government programs, and the failure ones in TV or newspapers or radio. Not even have a will to learn the proper national language. It is said that a language shows a nation. Is it our people whom are not capable in using the proper language or is it because our language that are not able to follow our people habits of speaking whom prefer to use slank words instead of the proper one, prefer to use English language rather than their own national language?

Identity of a nation of course can not be judge only by a single factor as language. There are many factors that should been count as well. Factors like historical background, sociological and geographical background, people’s habits, their work ethos, their though, how other countries been in touch and influences them, the economical and political stability, and many mores.

Putting all of those factors into one ideal idea about how the Indonesians are supposed to be is not an easy task. But we can always look back to what our founding father have started about the Indonesian identity. Maybe we can see our souls in the Indonesian flags, red and white which are symbols for bravery and holiness. But, hey, Monako also have the same colors flag. Is this means that our true identity is a copy-cat nation? Or are we a nation that most of the times ‘incidentally’ have the same ideas with other parties in creating flag, or music, movies, and other stuffs?

Well, let’s take a look on the historical background then. We were under Netherland’s attack and high sovereign, it’s very difficult times for our people to gather and discuss which-color-is-the-best and create a flag. So, some youths climbing a Hotel in Surabaya and rip the blue color from the Netherland flag to show to the world Indonesian Flag which is Red and White. Is this means that our nations is lack of Liberty for the price as losing Netherlands blue? Or are we too lazy to find our true color?

But the big question is not lying in the present time, but why Indonesian people back then not giving protests or objections over this quite sensitive issue? Why they kept quite over the “borrowed color flag”? Were they dumb? No, they weren’t. Our founding fathers and their friends as most of the revolutionary soldiers are very smarts and sharps. They had received great education in local schools and abroad. They gathered in secret meetings to share knowledge and information. They were in Indonesian worst period of time, still they create best outcome: independency for the whole nation.

With such a great output from their work, we can be certain that they are very bright. Thus, why they don’t protest? Are there any Indonesian values we didn’t see? Or are we too afraid to see the possibility of certain values to be part of our identity? For example, we reject the “positive thinking program” which launched by the local Government. We were too afraid to prove the world that we can see positivity in all circumstances. Or maybe we were afraid to admit that we have all the greatness in our blood. Our ancestors did not afraid to met and greet all the traders coming in our lands, they had persistent souls to stands for their homes, and they did not afraid to “modified” other people’s flag because they knew they have strong reason to choose those colors. Even after they found out that this red and white flag are the same as Monako’s, they know it’s not. Indonesian has their unique and original personality, and historical background. The color matters, but what matter most is the interpretation for it.

So, back to our main topic, what is our true identity? Is it supposed to be good ones so we can close our eyes over our bad inherited habits as corruption? Of course no, and yes. No, we cannot close our eyes to our own “bad inherited habit”, we have to overcome them, and we are able to eliminating the bad lifestyle, and preserve the good ones. And yes, we have to set our identity as the most ideal one that has the color of Indonesian faces and cultures yet our potentials both the recognizable ones and the marvelous potentials inside us that need to be unleash.

What is it to be exact? Well, as been said before, there are many factors that should been seen before we can figure out the “real” Indonesian identity. Until, the “exact” answer came by the mouth of the experts, and piles of evidences, let’s have positive thinking and be proud to be a member of Indonesian big families. Hence, it’s our time now to create a great future for Indonesia.
